Biography

I was born and raised in Prince Edward Island. Though my journey has taken me away for a time: Completing high school in Riverview, N.B before moving to St. John, NB to study nursing, and later Halifax, NS and out to Alberta; Prince Edward Island has always been my home.

I am the proud mother of two wonderful sons who were born in Halifax NS. These fabulous men have blessed me with three amazing grandchildren. I finally have two gorgeous little girls in my family and I am loving it. Mind you my grandson is pretty special. Being a grandmother is amazing.

My first career was in nursing where I spent 17 years as an RN, first at the Saint John General Hospital where I completed my training, then the IWK Hospital in Halifax, NS before moving on to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta where I lived for 23 years. This was an excellent move for my personal and professional growth and development. I visit Calgary often as my boys continue to live there and I have many close friends in that city.

In 1988 I transitioned from the nursing profession into business/sales and began my second career with four years as a Nurse Sales Consultant which lead to a 10 year career as a Territory Manager in the medical sales field.

I returned to PEI after my job in Medical sales ended. Not yet ready to retire, I reinvented myself. I went back to school and learned all about the financial world. This is my third profession and one I so enjoy.
